It all started 12 years ago…

Not many people can still say this, but I’m a local “San Martian”. I was born and raised in San Marcos. Although I live a little outside of town now, I love that everyday I am still part of the San Marcos community. I have a wonderful husband and we have 2 boys. They keep us busy and everyday is an adventure! We love our crazy, busy life!

I attended cosmetology school at Seguin Beauty School, at the New Braunfels location. I’ve had my license for 12 years and am proud to say I’ve been at the same salon for 11 of those years. What I love most about this salon is we’re a family, not just coworkers. We work as a team and encourage each other everyday.

Although I love everything about hair, I really love doing color. I love seeing the transformation. I love that it makes you think, makes you create, and alllows you to bring your client’s vision to life.

I can’t say enough about my clients. They are like family. I love building that relationship. A hairstylist has to build trust, communication, and most of all, a fun-loving bond. Part of the fun of getting to know each client, is learning what is going to fit them the best. Face shape, skin tone, personality types, career, upkeep of the style/color, are things I take into consideration for each client and what will be best for their hair.

With all that being said, I LOVE MY JOB! I wouldn’t change careers for anything. I look forward to coming to work and visiting with my clients. I love that I can make them feel better about themselves! People always say that a hair stylist is like a therapist. As much as people think our clients need us, some days, I need them even more.
